Welcome from enterprising women! Explore your ideas with us and learn how to take them forward in a way which can help you realise your dreams. Take this opportunity to consider becoming self-employed, retraining or working. Develop an enterprising attitude and learn new skills to help you achieve your potential and get more from life.
Enterprising women was established in 1996 in Glasgow with the aim of raising awareness of self employment as an option among Glasgow women and supporting them through the first steps of researching an idea.
Since then the project has grown and developed, but our ethos is the same – allow women to develop their ideas in a supportive and focussed environment and they will move closer to achieving their goals and those goals will be the right ones. Not everyone will go on and start up a business, but those that do will be making an informed choice they are ready to commit to, and those that don’t will have improved their skill set and be ready to take on new challenges in terms of education and employment.
If you are a woman living in Glasgow you can use any combination of the services to help you make an informed choice about whether or not to go into business for yourself. For women who want to explore an idea we offer:
• Individual appointments
• Skills analysis
• Idea exploration
• Help to develop a market research plan
• Personal development
• Training in preparing for business
• Pre start grant funding
• Networking
